Why bring up the past?
Why can’t we just leave that swept under the rug?
These are the questions most of us ask, primarily out of FEAR of facing “the ghosts from our past who own more of our soul than we thought we had given away” (a lyric from a Jennifer Knapp song that I memorized in 1998 when I first took a long, hard look at my own sexual history).
These are also the very questions that Melanie Connors was asking in my latest novel, Veil of Secrets, co-written with Kathryn Mackel. Melanie had NO desire to face her past, but mustering the courage to do so actually redeemed the future of her marriage, family, and ministry!
Perhaps it’s time to take a look at what’s been swept under your own emotional rug. As you sift, sort, and separate through your previous poor relational choices, you’ll also discover some VERY VALUABLE revelations worth holding onto — I promise!
If YOU are ready for relational redemption, this 4-part series on my BEST Coaching Tips & Tools is especially for you… ENJOY!
