MISSION STATEMENT
Established in 1996, Shannon Ethridge Ministries seeks to serve women of all ages who are in need of sexual or spiritual healing. Our passions include promoting the concepts of sexual and emotional integrity, sexual intimacy in marriage, and intimacy with God. We also mentor other aspiring writers & speakers through our BLAST Program (Building Leaders, Authors, Speakers & Teachers) because we believe in the power of the written and spoken word to transform people’s lives for God’s glory.

ABOUT SHANNON
Shannon Ethridge is a best-selling author, international speaker, and certified life coach with a master’s degree in counseling/human relations from Liberty University. She has spoken to youth, college students, and adults since 1989, and is the author of 18 books, including the million-copy best-selling Every Woman’s Battle series, the 5-book Completely His series, and her latest book for the mainstream market, The Sexually Confident Wife. Although grateful for the opportunities to influence this generation as a writer and speaker, she remains most passionate about her role as a wife and best friend to her husband of 20 years, Greg, and a mother and cheerleader to their two children, Erin (18) and Matthew (15).

ABOUT SHANNON’S NEW BLAST PROGRAM
In fall 2009, Shannon launched the first BLAST class for aspiring writers and speakers with a completely full class of 40+ participants. The response has been so overwhelmingly positive that we want to continue offering the 12-month online mentorship program every 6 months (classes launch in March & September) to students from all over the world. (For more information, see the BLAST Brochure at www.shannonethridge.com/blast) However, Shannon can’t possibly keep up with the administrative demands that the success of the program has created, so that’s where our new internship program comes in!

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Ideally we’d like to find EIGHT incredibly sharp, self-motivated women who’d be willing to relocate to Cross Creek, our ministry headquarters in Lindale, Texas, to help us launch this exciting one-year residential internship program. We’re asking for a minimum one-year commitment, with the option of serving longer if you so choose.

If you aspire to be a writer, speaker, teacher, counselor, life coach, or serve in youth or women’s ministry, this internship will provide amazing experience that could help you prepare for an incredibly bright future!

RESPONSIBILITIES & OPPORTUNITIES...
Residential Intern Responsibilities include:

• Participating in the 12-month online BLAST Program
  (a $1500 value – free!)
• Meeting monthly with your BLAST small group members
• Meeting monthly with Lee Desmond, Residential Internship Director
• Attending bi-monthly staff dinner meetings with Shannon Ethridge
• Serve on the Shannon Ethridge Ministries prayer team

Possible Intern Assignments (based on your personal skill set):

• Serve on Shannon’s special fiction review team
• Review & critique BLAST applicant devotionals & video submissions
• Creation & delivery of special devotionals for staff meetings
• Ghost writing for Shannon’s blog and/or E-newsletters
• Manage logistical details of marriage, women’s, and/or youth conferences
• New events promotion around anchor speaking events
• Press release preparation & media relations
• Website, database & financial spreadsheet management
• Online book order fulfillment & book inventory management
• Acting as liaison between Shannon & coaching clients

Unlike many internship programs, you are only asked to work approximately 10
hours each week. Those hours are very flexible so that you have the option of
working an additional job or taking college courses while residing here. Our
philosophy is that you needn’t put your entire life on hold just because you want
valuable work experience. We encourage you to continue moving forward with
your education and/or career plans while residing here and serving alongside this
ministry.
