Are you looking for an amazing opportunity to create an event so exciting it reaches beyond your campus and into your community? I’m excited to introduce to you the world premiere movie event that everyone will be talking about. And you can bring it directly to your church! I AM is a fast-paced, thought provoking movie that demonstrates the relevance of the Ten Commandments in our modern lives. This great film has already wowed pastors across the nation who participated in a prescreening, and will have a special opening message by author Lee Strobel.
During the month of October 2010 (10/2010) the world premiere of I AM will take place in CHURCHES ONLY! This means that for the first time ever, churches get a chance to experience a faith-based movie on their own campus before anyone else! Do not miss this historical opportunity for churches across the nation.
Now is your chance to host this exceptional movie that’s creating nationwide buzz! This movie premiere experience will create a powerful moment in your church that will generate conversation, excitement, outreach, and most importantly help us all better understand the heart of the great I AM, God Himself.
When your church makes the commitment to host I AM, you will receive a kit with promotional videos, movie tickets, posters, flyers, and ideas to help make your event a great success.
To bring the I AM world premiere to your church, call 877.406.8776 or fill out this quick online form. Mention this email and Shannon Ethridge Ministries and receive $100 off the retail price! For more information about this incredible movie, visit www.iamthemovie.com.
I hope you will join this national Ten Commandment movement, and host an I AM movie experience at your church this October!
Rielle Hunter on “Following Your Heart”
In a recent interview on The Oprah Show, Rielle Hunter (mistress and Baby Mama to ex-presidential hopeful John Edwards) claimed that “Johnny” should NOT have run for president because “he was not living a life of integrity… he was out of alignment with his personal truth.”
Seizing the chance to probe further, Oprah responded, “YOU are talking about integrity, yet YOU were the woman living with this big lie... this big contradiction… weren’t YOU failing to live with integrity? Weren’t YOU out of alignment with our own personal truth — having this affair with a married man, and going to such great lengths to hide this relationship and this baby from the entire country when they were considering electing him their president?”
Her response? Rielle Hunter replied, “No, believe it or not. I was just following my heart, and I felt that this was the right thing to do.”
No disrespect intended toward Ms. Hunter (funny how when I type her name, over and over I accidentally type HUNGER instead of HUNTER), but when I heard her response, I wanted to gag... or slap her... or slap her while gagging simultaneously. Then I felt convicted, and realized that I didn't really want to slap her. I really wanted to hug her, and to learn more about the root issues that have led her to hunger for the attention and affection of a man, even at the expense of her own integrity and reputation (not to mention his).
But I appreciate the good blog fodder, for it reminded me of this fantastic video clip from WorshipHouse Media (www.worshiphousemedia.com), highlighting the difference between FOLLOWING your heart, and GUARDING your heart...
Maybe Ms. Hunter will see this video clip someday, and FOLLOW her heart toward God and His absolute truth about sexual integrity and the sanctity of marriage.
Remember, ladies and gentlemen, “Above all else, GUARD your HEART, for it is the wellspring of life!” (Proverbs 4:23)

I just thought I should tell you how helpful your book "Every Young Woman's Battle" was in a recent situation. I never looked at flirting as harmful until just recently when I was toying with a boy and trapped us both in conversations that were not necessarily bad, but not good. To put it simply, I broke both our hearts, all because a flirtatious experience went too far. Girls need to know this. I thought I did, but now I realize the true pain it causes and never want to damage a boy in that way again. |

R.T. writes:
Thank you for writing "Every Young Woman's Battle.” My boyfriend read “Every Young Man’s Battle” at the same time and it really helped in our relationship. Though I am still disappointed in the mistakes I've made in the past, I feel that I can help others not make the same ones themselves and direct dating relationships toward Christ instead of toward each other. Through your book, and several others, I am doing just that with my own relationship. God Bless! |

Shannon's response: I’m sorry to hear that you tested those waters and found them to be more dangerous than you realized, but I do praise God that you’ve had this realization early in your life. Many women in their 40s and 50s still don’t get how quickly a little “innocent flirting” will land them in very compromising positions, so let this lesson serve you well as you continue to blossom into a woman of sexual and emotional integrity, P.W.! |
|
Shannon's response: What a wise woman it sounds like you’ve become, R.T.! How great that both you and your boyfriend are feasting on books to help you successfully navigate the waters of romantic relationships! God will bless that kind of discipline, girlfriend! I’ll bet He already is! |
If God’s doing something in your life, marriage, family, or ministry as a result of reading one of Shannon’s books, let us know so we can praise God with you!
