PRAYER UPDATE/SPECIAL REQUEST
Thank you for your prayers for Shannon and her family over the past “kamikaze writing year” as she wrote the lead book and four devotionals for her upcoming Loving Jesus Without Limits series (due to release in June 2007). The theme of the series is embracing your role as the “bride of Christ,” and the finalized titles to be watching for are as follows:

While there’s still lots of editing to do, Shannon is already planning ahead for her next writing project—a book for the secular market called, The Sexually-Confident Wife: Overcoming the Hurdles that Hold Women Back (Random House, summer 2008).
We’re currently gathering testimonies and questions from both women and men regarding the issues that rob a wife of her sexual confidence, and how she can regain it to become the sexually-confident, sexually-satisfied woman she deserves to be. BOOKS FOR ZIMBABWE PROJECT
We continue to experience a tremendous burden for the youth of Zimbabwe after our two-week mission trip this past September. At the invitation of Youth for Christ, we traveled to 16 different high schools, churches, and orphanages and spoke to over 6,000 teen girls and boys. Many approached with tears in their eyes saying, “Both my parents have already died of AIDS, and I assumed my life would end the same way. But you gave me hope that I can choose not to get this disease by saving sex for marriage!” (for our complete update, click here).
Unfortunately, we were only able to get 120 books into the country due to customs regulations, but we hope to send hundreds or even thousands more in the coming year. Thanks to the generosity of those who’ve responded to our “matching funds” offer, another small shipment of books is already on its way, but would you please pray about helping us send more soon? CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Please continue praying for Shannon as she completes her “kamikaze writing year” with developing her summer 2007 releases, the Loving Jesus Without Limits series (formerly referred to as the Bridal Party series). So far, first drafts of the lead book and two of the four devotionals have been written, but there’s two more devotionals to finish, and lots of editing still to do! Thanks!

I am 34 years old from Moscow, Russia. In the spring my husband went to Saddleback for a conference of youth workers. He brought back the "Every Man’s Battle and Every Woman’s Battle” series. These are great books! I started meetings for young girls where I translate for them the contents of "Every young woman's battle" right off the page. We then have time for questions and comments. The girls are very grateful for the book - it is extremely practical and applicable! I also started reading Every Woman’s Battle. Shannon, thank you so much for taking the time to write these books! The things that you discuss and bring up are so true to life but I have never heard anyone mention them. I have attended many women's conferences but nowhere have I come across such practical and NECESSARY information. It is so much easier to fight temptations when you are armed with simple and efficient weapons. It is so good to know that I'm not the only one who has had to withstand the attacks of the kind.
