We continue to rejoice over the impact that the Every Woman series is making in places we never dreamed of. The following e-mail is from Shauna in the United Kingdom:
I just wanted to thank you for writing Every Woman’s Battle. I wish it had been written years ago when I started dating. Although I have been a Christian all my life, I compromised my principles in that area because I thought I was too strong to fall. I was wrong. Until I found your book I wondered why it was so hard for me to resist temptation and why I kept getting involved with the wrong kind of guys. After reading it I realized that the wrong guys know the right things to say and knew how to make me feel wanted.
I have read your book twice and read a couple of chapters occasionally when I feel the heat of temptation is turned way up. I bought a copy for a married friend who is struggling with old feelings of her ex-boyfriend and recommend this book to many women. Thank you for posting your email address in your book. You are probably flooded with letters so I appreciate you reading mine.

We were also thrilled to learn recently that Shannon’s first book, Words of Wisdom for Women at the Well, is now making a huge impact in an Indiana prison thanks to Ida Johnson:
First of all your books are phenomenal and I thank God for giving you such insight. I am a mentor for women at Sheltering Wings Center for Women in Danville, IN. We are a domestic violence shelter and use your book Women at the Well for one of our bible studies. We all love the lessons and I have even introduced it to my church where we use it in a bible study as well. As part of our ministry for the shelter, I teach at the jail weekly… Many times the women sit and experience God’s cleansing and fullness right there in the jail. I can’t tell you how many women are sobbing by the end of the lesson and several have committed their lives to Christ as a result. They continually ask me for copies of the book because they are so blessed by it.

Exodus Freedom Conference
Join hundreds of fellow believers June 27th - July 2nd for the 2006 Exodus Freedom Conference on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. Every Young Man/Woman’s Battle Mission Trip to Zimbabwe
Shannon and her family have been invited by Youth for Christ to do a speaking/ministry tour through Bulawayo, Zimbabwe from September 1-15th. We are very excited about the opportunity to distribute hundreds of Every Young Man & Woman’s Battle books and to speak to public & private school youth and college students, as well as parents and their children about the rich rewards of living a lifestyle of sexual integrity and intimacy with Christ, especially since the HIV/AIDS epidemic is a major health issue in this region of the world. Please pray as plans are finalized and support is raised to fund this missionary endeavor.
