Every Young Woman’s Battle wins the Gold Medallion Award!
The Evangelical Christian Publisher’s Association (ECPA), made up of a panel of Christian retailers and theologians, awarded Every Young Woman’s Battle with the Gold Medallion Award at the Christian Bookseller’s Association convention in Denver last month. This prestigious award for excellence in Christian publishing is awarded based on content, literary quality, design, and significance of contribution toward society. PRAYER UPDATES AND REQUESTS...
Our mission trip to Panana last month with Focus on the Family’s Brio Magazine was absolutely amazing! As a result of 470 teen girls performing an evangelistic drama three or four times daily for ten days, 18,444 Panamanians accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior! Thank you for your prayers for me and my daughter. We couldn’t have asked for a more rewarding ministry experience.
Please pray for Shannon as she travels to Canada for a week of television interviews, speaking engagements, and ministry times. She leaves August 23rd and returns August 30th. The following is her itinerary:
- 100 Huntley Street the morning of August 24th
- Nite Lite in the wee hours of the morning ( 2-4 a.m.) on the 25th where Shannon will minister to live callers (pray for alertness!)
- On the Line later that afternoon on August 25th
- Driving from Toronto to Ottowa on August 26th
- Speaking three times at the Women Alive! Conference / Canadian CBA Convention in Ottowa on from August 26th - 29th

We’d appreciate your prayers for travel mercies, boldness, and a keen sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, as well as for her family during the week she is gone.
Please pray for clarity and vision as Shannon, her husband, Greg, and their editor, Liz Heaney, continue to edit the Every Woman’s Marriage manuscript. The book is due to the publisher in December and will be released next June.
 Shannon will be leading a 12-week “Women at the Well” class on the Teen Mania Ministries campus from mid-September through early December. Please pray for the college-age women who’ll be participating in this life-changing class. Many will have come from broken homes or promiscuous pasts and this is a prime opportunity for them to turn their lives around and learn to look for love in all the right places!
